As a 29-year-old company and a leader in the landscape design industry in Boston, Jean Brooks Landscapes felt it was officially time to freshen up their entire look - from branding to marketing collateral to apparel to fleet graphics. Cue, JoieWorks.
THE CLIENT
Jean Brooks Landscapes is a full-service landscape design company that specializes in the design, construction and maintenance of residential outdoor spaces. They create comfortable and beautiful landscapes that enrich peoples’ lives.
After 29 years in business, JBL has made a name for itself in the landscape design world. JBL is well-known for quality, service and attention to detail, and they felt it was time to create a brand that reflected these values and characteristics.
THE PROJECT
JBL hired JoieWorks to complete an entire brand overhaul from scratch. The scope of work included entirely new branding - logo, colors, typography, design elements, personality, voice - and subsequently applying this new brand to new marketing and brand collateral, apparel, vehicle graphics, email campaigns, and site signage.
THE PROCESS
In the beginning, we dove deep into the brand and what the business had become over the last 29 years. I took JBL through my in-depth brand discovery process in which we discussed all facets and elements of the business and what this meant in relation to the new brand.
After the brand discovery process, I used the data collected during this process to create intentional, informed designs. This process began with the logo design and ultimately became an entirely new brand for JBL.
Once the new brand was conceived and finalized, we applied this BRAND spanking new look to all of JBL’s existing materials and collateral and launched it into the world!
THE RESULT
The result is a beautiful, clean and elegant brand that represents the high level of quality and service that JBL provides. The logo and other brand elements speak to the company’s premium offerings and represent the established position that JBL has maintained within the industry. The rebranded marketing pieces, collateral and other brand materials communicate this message in various ways to JBL’s audience.
