2019 Year In Review
As the year is yet again coming to an end and we are officially on the precipice of the next decade (whoa!), I can’t help but reflect on the year that has passed. As always, I find myself reflecting on both the good and the bad. The learning moments, the opportunities that allowed me to grow and the experiences that enabled me to change. I am both proud of all that I’ve accomplished this past year and excited to share what’s next! Thus, I have compiled some highlights from 2019 and some news for the next year ahead. I hope you will enjoy as much as I have!

From logo design to website design to graphic design, it has been a busy year full of creativity, learning, and growth, all of which I am extremely grateful for. JoieWorks News
This past year, I have been lucky enough to work and partner with some incredible people.
Collaboration & Speaking
In 2019, the wonderful Erin of Tribe Creative Co. and I joined forces to create an all-encompassing offering of branding and website design. What started as some casual referral sharing grew into a successful partnership and has even led us into the world of public speaking (gulp!).
In May, we spoke at an amazing event hosted by Bumble Bizz, WeWork and Denver’s very own Union Station. We spoke on a panel of incredible women and each shared insights into what it means to be a woman in the business world. You can read more about that here!
This past month, we spoke on our journey with collaboration and hosted a workshop where we shared some of our insights on collaboration and networking with other freelancers in our community.
It has truly been an exciting year of leaning and growing together!
Moxie Collective
I’ve also been lucky enough to partner with an incredible, female-focused organization this year called Moxie Collective. Moxie is a community for badass babes focused on connection, development and collaboration. Moxie hosts monthly networking events with a speaker on a topic geared towards women. As a board member, I have been working on the marketing and design for Moxie, which has been an amazing experience! I’ve been able to connect with some amazing women, grow my network in Denver and learn some incredible things on topics that are both interesting and constructive.
Voyage Denver Feature
In July, I was very honored to be featured in VoyageDenver’s “Hidden Gems” series. You can read the whole interview here!
What’s Next?
So what’s in store for next year? Good question! As usual, I have a few things brewing for the year ahead that I am very excited to share. Without giving too much away, my goal is to continue growing JoieWorks while also becoming a resource for my creative community and for my clients. Stay tuned for more details to come!
